On a warm August day in 1876, just 28 days after the Centennial of the United States, President Ulysses S. Grant signed a proclamation officially admitting Colorado into the Union. Now, on its 138th birthday, we celebrate the advent of our beloved state with Colorado Day! This year, the state is opening the doors to many of its museums and state parks, so you can celebrate the state without concerns for cost. If you’re looking for other ways to enjoy our statewide holiday, we’ve compiled a list of adventures designed to help you celebrate Colorado day.
